Background
Steven McDonnell commenced his professional accounting career in public practice in the late 1980's. Over this time Steven progressed through to senior ranks in practice providing services to the business community in taxation, auditing, business services and consulting. He then moved into the world of commerce & industry working predominantly in Australia and New Zealand while raising a young family.
In the private sector, Steven held senior positions working with CEO's and managing directors leading teams in taxation, financial reporting, re-engineering and improvement of business cashflow & profitability. Steven was frequently involved in projects managing IT development, mergers, acquisitions and divestments. He provided technical and management advice across a broad range of industry, government and not for profit organisations at Board level.
After operating several years as a Chief Financial Officer for a public company, Steven returned to public practice to continue helping businesses and individuals thrive in their chosen ventures.
In his spare time Steven enjoys a range of outdoor activities with his friends and family. Steven also plays a part in the charitable space by providing his services on a pro bono capacity and mentors young professional accountants. Steven is a former regional chair of the Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand.
